So a Bear and a Rabbit where "concentrating" in the woods.................

The bear says to the rabbit "Don't you hate it when "stuff" gets stuck to your fir?", and the rabbit replies "No, not really." So the bear picks up the rabbit and ..................well you know the rest.

We're packed up and ready to head back to Casa M. GrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

So we got home late this afternoon and are getting settled in. First night in Nico's waterbed.

They say that sleep deprivation can affect your judgement, but I'd sorely beg to differ. I've discovered the "Uberman Sleep Schedule" and started it the day Nico was born. (the gist being that the body can be trained to function off of 2 hrs of sleep and is used by such LEGENDARY minds as Thomas Jefferson, Da Vinci, Eddy Vedder):

Unfortunately I didn't read ALL of the small print.
"Uberman's Sleep Method should not be attempted by individuals of either Japanese or Italian decent unless monitored closely by a medical professional. "

Needless to say, but I woke up this morning from my lastest "micro" nap only to be greeted by my old friend :

DOESN'T HE LOOK GLLLLLLORIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU BLUE!
btw, when will these white spots i'm seeing going to go away?

Back by popular demand.................................

More Pics!
quick update: Mommy is recovery so well that we'll be leaving the hospital a day ahead of schedule and be home this evening. Thank you so much for all the posts, emails and phone calls!!!!!! It really means a lot to us that you're thinking of us.

It's time to put on make-up, it's time to dress up right........

It's time to get together for the Nico Show Tonight!

*Note: these were taken during the initial 24hrs.

The 2nd evening............. storm clouds brewing.......

Well, they did warn us.......even giving us a little handout "Baby's 2nd Night".................which we've appropriately retitled, "Baby's 2nd Night: It's OK for Dad to cry too"

lil Nico didn't sleep much (probably 43 seconds total) the 2nd night and made sure mom and dad (ok, mostly mom) didn't get any zzz's either.

Here was Nico from about midnight to 9am:

So in the morning "Dixie" the lactation consultant gave Ash some GREAT tips and before Nico knew it he was latched on resulting in a transformation to a drunken-like comatose state. A bit like our buddy "Towelie" here:

Thank You Dixie! Needless to say, but day 3 has gone much more smoothly. We'll be printing up tshirts shortly.

How close can we go?

Zoom Zoom Zoom.............................................("Dogs Like Trucks!" )

Big Ups to Team M:

Sy Sperling ain't got nothing on me.......................

Back when pops was a wee lad, I watched this movie called "The Peanut Butter Solution" probably 400 times. No, it's not good, but somehow had addictive powers over me. Here's the trailer if you need further incentive to get down to blockbuster stat:

That being said, I thought..................since we now have a helpless infant of our own, why not see if the peanut butter solution (PBS) was for real. After a little google research I was able to come across the secret formula.......and guess what:

WATCH OUT SY SPERLING! HCFM IS NO MATCH FOR PBS!

Prison Break

If the hospital goes into a state of "Lockdown" (aka Defcon 1), that means Nico or one of the other inmates has made a break for it. I overheard a few of them in the nursery saying if they didn't get upgraded flavored pacifiers asap, that there would be serious consequences. Baby Lo-Jack is supposed to keep these Colostrum induced babies in check.

Part of me thinks, "Shweet, crowd control so I can sleep better"............while another says, "What was the 'incident' that caused them to implement B.L.J.?"

Here's Nico with one of his buddies, Mr Blue Paci that he met recently. Mr. Blue Paci is truly a great friend and mommy/daddy love him nearly as much as we love lil Nico. They are BFF indeed.

A picture from the early days................

back when Nico was a mere 60 seconds old........................................ (If you ask me he's being a bit of a baby............he's lucky he wasn't born in Fargo............in an ice shed...................like his dad was..........just before walking to school in 400 ft of snow)

Nico's already 27...............................

.......Hours old. Wow..........how time flies.

Mommy is recovering very well after the c-section. She's up........walking......(and barking) which was a requirement before she could eat solid foods. Although this is young Nico's signature move............ he has much to learn from the Grand Master.

Theme song #2

The New Roomie - the beginning

Howdy Hoooooooooo family and friends! We thought it would be good to start a bloggy blog to keep folks updated instead of sending out 1.21 gigawatts of email. If you use something like google reader then it'll automatically show when we've put up a new post.

In anticipation of our new ROOMIE, we've picked this as our theme song.

Yes..........turkey is almost done!

A pick from the early days. It's a nice balmy 98.6 degrees with plenty of real estate to cruise around in.
